John 15, 16 and 17

H,
The last thing that being at rest in God should feel like or be is reactive. We are not sitting and waiting for storms to push us. In fact it is in a storm that rest comes to us. It is the solution to the problem of living on earth but it is still not a reaction to it. The problem tells us the solution is the start. We hit a brick wall and that tells us we were walking in the wrong direction. It is the pre-written answer to every question of life.
That may seem a tad ludicrous but is also happens to be true. This is the foundation of all life on earth. It is those first moments of creation told to us again. The original intention connected to the progressive life. It is not like sin happened and then man needed a new plan. Everything we have in Christ is life as always should have been. It is important to note this as we seek the rest of God. It is not the abnormal but the normal obscured. We are living in the temporary exception to the total law of God. It is an exception that proves the rule. It did not create the rule.
The things we will be told to do are not static or tied to the other thing. The dark is no match for the great light of God. This present life is such a passing thing but it is all we have known and so we think we will die if our comforts are taken from us. We think we will die when our bodies give up. This is where the rest of God starts. It says there was no numbering of human days at the start. It says look back to the idea of eternity. It says we are imbued with the spirit of God. The eternity of life inside a mould of sand. The outer material may be soft but the insides have the stuff that created the universe.
Be at rest, be at rest. Only connect to original intent and see how much more there is to life than the tremble, stumble and futility of putting the problem above the solution that always was.

“Power.”

B. All this power has to be subject to higher principles. What good does it do anyone if we can do only what we want? What good does it ...
