“The cure is always love.”

H,

It seems simple to say but: the cure is always to love. Nothing has so revealed the power of time over moments. Love is the long game. It is not about the past and always about present actions and future consequences. Nothing moves us more or demands more of our character. It is the ultimate axiom of the soul. We know what it is as soon as we are conscious.

We do not need to believe in love. Love is the great objective and love is God. In the moments of deepest despair, the grund norm of our worst feelings, the floor of our personal failures, there is still the idea we have, sitting down, that we can stand up. That first tinge of light in darkness, that obvious spark we did not see beforehand, is love speaking and telling us to come home.

And come home, we must.
